Audi A3 (8V) – Correction of ACC radar misalignment (fault C1103) (Coding)
Purpose: Allows to perform the ACC/Front Assist radar calibration procedure required after front bumper removal, suspension modification or frontal collision. (fault C1103 for phase 1)
Proceed:
1 – With the engine off and the ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to
the computer and then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.
2 – Switch on the ignition and then start the VCDS program.
Line 1:
1 – Connect to the radar and confirm that a fault C1103 00 – Adaptive cruise control sensor – incorrectly adjusted is recorded.

2 – Check the current misalignment angle.

The perfect setting is 0.00 . The tolerance is between -0.80 and 0.80 degrees. Values below -0.80 mean the radar is oriented too far to the right. Values above 0.80 mean the radar is oriented too far to the left. One turn of the adjustment screw equals 1 degree.
Remove the radar head cover. Use the adjustment screws to change the position of the radar. Replace the cover.
Line 2:
3 – Click on “ Select ” then click on “ 13 – Radar ACC ”.
4 – Click on “ Security Access – 16 ” then type the code “ 14117 ”
5 – Basic settings → Reset sensor misalignment angle → Go
6 – Defaults → Clear
Perform a test drive of at least 10 km in length. Check the live data and repeat the procedure if necessary.
