Audi A3 (8V) – Speed threshold settings for cornering light activation (Coding)
Purpose: Allows you to set the speed thresholds for turning on and off the cornering lights via the fog lights. (Corner Lights)
Attention!! There are 2 lines of coding to do here.
Proceed:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to
the computer then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.
2 – Switch on the ignition then launch the VCDS program.
Line 1 (Speed of activation of the cornering lights):
3 – Click on “ Select ” then click on “ 09 – Central Electrics ”.
4 – Click on “ Security Access – 16 ” then enter the code “ 31347 ”
5 – Click on “ Adaptation – 10 ”.
6 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “statisches Kurvenlicht-Untere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle”
7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu but towards the bottom
of the page.
On the latter, adjust the value accordingly then validate. (Default value: 0 km/h)
Note: When the value is specified, the cornering lights are deactivated when stationary and are only activated from the corresponding set speed.
Line 2 (Speed at which the cornering lights are switched off):
3 – Click on “ Select ” then click on “ 09 – Central Electrics ”.
4 – Click on “ Security Access – 16 ” then enter the code “ 31347 ” .
5 – Click on “ Adaptation – 10 ”.
6 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “statisches Kurvenlicht-Obere Geschwindigkeitsschwelle”
7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu but towards the bottom
of the page.
On this latter, adjust the value accordingly then validate. (Default value: 32 km/h)
Note: This probably makes sense up to a maximum of 60 km/h (in urban areas), because otherwise the cornering lights will also be activated on country roads if the steering angle is correct.
