Audi A3 (8V) – Deactivate the brake pad warning light (Coding)

Purpose: Allows you to deactivate the worn brake pad warning light on the ODB (On-Board Computer), for example for pads without a sensor or if the sensor has a problem / Brake Pad Warning light deactivation.

Proceed:
1 – With the engine off and the ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer and then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.

2 – Switch on the ignition and then start the VCDS program.

 

Line 1:

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “  09 – Power Plant ”.

4 – Click on “  Coding – 07  ”

5 – Click on “  Long Coding Wizard ”.

6 – Select Byte 4

Disable bit “  Brake Pad Wear Sensor installed”

Restart the vehicle so that the light no longer appears.
