SSP 169 – The VW Sharan
The VW Sharan is Volkswagen’s first large multi-purpose vehicle (MPV). This family car was developed in collaboration with Ford and is produced by AUTOEUROPA in Portugal.
Both MPVs, the VW Sharan and the Ford Galaxy, are largely identical in terms of construction. The exterior appearance is designed according to the respective brand: design differences between the two models are limited to the shape of the hood, the grille, and the headlights.
Inside, the Sharan and Galaxy differ in brand-specific details such as the steering wheel design and the VW- or Ford-typical trim colors and upholstery.
The interior of the Sharan can be configured flexibly, offering many possibilities of use: from a spacious family MPV to a transporter.
