SSP 163 – Air Conditioning – Heating Audi A8 1994

 

This self-study program for the Audi A8 is divided into the following sections:

Part I: Air Conditioning
Information and general notes on the structure of an air conditioning refrigerant circuit can be found in the self-study program “Air Conditioning in the Audi 100 1994” (SSP 131).

In Part I, the new fully automatic air conditioning system is presented in detail. You will learn about operation, function, and self-diagnosis, as well as all new features.

Compared to previous air conditioning systems, the following system or functional features are new:

  • Use of the environmentally friendly refrigerant R 134a

  • Separate temperature control and air distribution possible for driver and passenger sides

  • Influence of solar radiation is compensated using a sun sensor

  • Utilization of residual engine coolant heat possible

  • Temperature adjustment of the air outlet in the center console possible

Part II: Heating
Part II deals with the heating system in the Audi A8. You will learn the essential innovations in operation, function, and system design:

  • Separate temperature control possible for driver and passenger sides

  • Water-side regulated heating
