SSP 145 – 2.5 L TDI Engine with Emission Control
With the further development of the direct-injection turbo diesel engine, Audi has taken another step toward high technology.
This engine variant already complies with the strict US emission standard (Appendix 23), qualifying vehicles equipped with the new TDI engine as “particularly low-emission”, which may also bring tax advantages.
The reduction in exhaust emissions is achieved through the following innovations:
Mass air flow sensor
Exhaust gas recirculation (EGR)
Oxidation catalytic converter
Cyclone oil separator
