SSP 070 – VW LT Viscous Fan Clutch

All vehicles in the Volkswagen LT model range up to 3.5 t gross vehicle weight with a 5-speed transmission are equipped with a viscous fan clutch. The fan for engine cooling is regulated via the viscous fan clutch depending on the temperature; this means it only operates when additional engine cooling is necessary.
This results in:
Lower fuel consumption – thereby reducing operating costs and environmental impact
More power – because the fan does not run permanently
Less noise
