SSP 050 – Audi 100 1983 – Keihin Carburetor with Start-Up Boost

INDEX

The previous thermo-pneumatic valve has been replaced by an electronically controlled 2-way valve. This makes it possible to briefly limit the engine speed from revving too high after starting a cold engine. If the engine exceeds a speed of 1900 rpm after starting, the start-up boost is deactivated. Thereafter, the coolant-heated wax thermostat regulates the speed during the warm-up phase. Above an engine temperature of 65°C, the start-up boost is not triggered.
