Audi A1 (8X) Facelift – Activate Hill Start Assist (Coding)

Purpose: Allows you to activate the Audi Hill Start Assist.

Audi Hill Start Assist is a hill start assistant. If you hold down the brake pedal for a certain period of time when the vehicle is stationary, the brake pressure is retained for a few seconds after releasing the brake pedal, making hill starts easier.

Proceed as follows:
1 – With the engine off and the ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer and then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.

2 – Switch on the ignition and start the VCDS program.

 

Line 1:

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “  03 – ABS Brakes  ” (or “  03 – ABS Brakes ”).

4 – Click on “  Coding-07  ” then “  Long Coding Wizard ” 

5 – Choose Byte 22 : 
Bit 0 : Check  the box

Line 2:

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “  03 – ABS Brakes  ” (or “  03 – ABS Brakes ”).

4 – Click on “  Adaptation – 10 ”.

5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “  Hill Start assistant ”  .

6 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu but towards the bottom
of the page.
On this last one, choose the value according to your preference:

  • ”  normal  ” (default)
  • “  Early  ” (faster triggering)
  • “  Late  ” (later trigger)

then validate.
