Audi A1 (8X) – Auto lowering side mirrors when driving reverse (Coding)

Purpose: Allows the passenger mirror to be automatically lowered
when reversing.

The mirror adjustment button must be in the ” R ” position for the
passenger mirror to lower automatically.

Proceed as follows:
1 – With the engine off and the ignition off, connect your official VAG
COM VCDS cable to the computer and then connect the other end to
the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.
2 – Switch on the ignition and then launch the VCDS program.

Line 1
3 – Click on ” Select ” then click on ” 52 Passenger Door “.
4 – Click on ” Coding – 07 ” then click on ” Long Coding Wizard “.
5 – Choose byte ” 4 ”
Then check Bit ” 2 “: ” Reserve Gear Mirror Dipping active ”
and Bit ” 3 “: ” Position Memory for Reserve Gear Mirror Dipping
active ”

3 – Click on “ Select ” then click on “ 09 Central Elec ”.
4 – Click on “ Coding – 07 ” then click on “ Long Coding Assistant”.
5 – Choose byte “ 4 ”.
Check Bit 3 (If it is a hidden bit, you must directly modify the value in
binary (replace 0 with 1, e.g.: 0101 1 100)).
