A3 (8Y) – Start/Stop deactivation (Coding)

Purpose: Allows you to completely disable Start and Stop.

Warning!! There is, here, 1 line of coding to be done according to the selected method .

Proceed:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle or your OBDeleven box.

2 – Switch on the ignition then launch the VCDS program or the OBDeleven application.

Method 1 (Air conditioning method, recommended):

Line 1:

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “  08 – Climatronic ”  .

4 – Click on “  Adaptation – 10 ” 

5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose the channel “  Deactivation of Start Stop Function ” 

7 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu but towards the bottom
of the page.
On the latter, choose “  Active ”, then validate.

Information: Does not work on all models…

Method 2 (Gateway Method):

Line 1:

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “  19 – CAN Gateway ”.

4 – Click on “  Adaptation – 10 ”.

5 – On this page, at the very top, there is a drop-down menu.
In this drop-down menu, choose “  Slave_component_list – Battery Monitoring Control Module ” 

6 – On this same page, there is a second drop-down menu but towards the bottom
of the page.
On the latter, choose “  no ”, then validate.

Information: Does not work on vehicles with a 45V electrical system.
However, an error remains in the Gateway: “Subsystem_multiple_plug_identified” No error message appears on the Virtual Cockpit (AID) or the infotainment system (MIB3).
