Audi A3 (8P) Facelift – Keep/lower intensity of daytime running lights (DRL) with indicators (Coding)

Purpose: Allows you to maintain or reduce the intensity of the daytime running lights (DRL) with the indicators.

Proceed :
1 – With the engine off and the ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer and then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.

2 – Switch on the ignition and then start the VCDS program.

Line 1:

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “  09- Power station ”.

4 – Click on “  Coding 07 ”.

5 – Select module “0” and click on “Long coding assistant”:

Byte 8 : 
Bit 7 : “Daytime Running Light (DRL) Deactivation while blinking active”

Uncheck to keep intensity or Check to lower intensity.

 

For models from 2010:

Byte 15 : 
Bit 3 : “Daytime Running Light (DRL) inactive with Turn Signals active”

Uncheck to keep intensity or Check to lower intensity.
