Audi A3 (8P) Facelift – Hill Hold Control (Coding)

Purpose: Allows you to activate Hill Hold Control.

Hill Hold Control allows you to maintain pressure in the brakes for a few seconds after a long press on the brake pedal. (For after 2010)

Proceed :
1 – With the engine off and the ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer and then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.

2 – Switch on the ignition and then start the VCDS program.

Line 1:

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “  03 – ABS Brakes  ” (or “  03 – ABS Brakes ”).

4 – Click on “  Coding-07  ” then “  Long Coding Wizard ” 

Byte 16 : 
Bit 3 (or 0 depending on model): Check “Hill Hold Control (HHC/PR-UG1/UG4) active/installed”

 

Line 2 Hill Hold Control adjustment.

3 – Click on “  Select  ” then click on “   03  – ABS Brakes ”.

4 – Click on “  Adaptation – 10 ”.

Select Channel 58 (Hill Hold Control (HHC) from the drop-down list)

Choose a value
0 “normal”
1 “earlier” (restarts with lower acceleration)
2 “later” (restarts with higher acceleration)
