Audi A3 (8P) – Activation of the multifunction steering wheel (retrofit) (Coding)

Purpose : Allows the multifunction steering wheel to be activated as a retrofit.

Proceed:
1 – Engine off, ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.

2 – Switch on the ignition then launch the VCDS program.

Line 1:

3 – Click on “ Select ” then click on “ 16 – Multifunction steering wheel ”.

4 – Click on “ Coding – 07 ”

5 – x ? xxx : Steering wheel variant

The following options (to be replaced by ?):

0 – steering wheel without multifunction
1 – 3-spoke steering wheel (without multifunction)
2 – 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel for radio control
3 – 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel for radio/telephone control
4 – 4-spoke multifunction steering wheel for radio -/telephone/cond.
