Audi A3 (8P) – Activate Daytime running lights (DRL) with fog lights (Coding)
Purpose : Allows the fog lights to be used as daytime running lights. (from 2006)
Proceed :
1 – With the engine off and the ignition off, connect your official VAG-COM VCDS cable to the computer and then connect the other end to the diagnostic socket of your vehicle.
2 – Switch on the ignition and then start the VCDS program.
Line 1:
3 – Click on “ Select ” then click on “ 09- Power station ”.
4 – Click on “ Coding 07 ”.
5 – Select module “0” and click on “Long coding assistant”:
6 – Byte 0 :
Bit 4: Check “Daytime Running Lights (North America)”
7 – Byte 17 :
Bit 4 : Check “Daytime Running Light with dimmed Low Beam” (or “Daytime Running Light via Fog Lights” depending on your version of VCDS)
