Do not connect your Apple device via USB!

Make sure WIFI hotspot is enabled in MMI settings.
On your iPhone under Settings -> Wi-Fi your car should show up with ***_5GHZ.
Pair your Apple device with Bluetooth, it should now ask if you want to enable CarPlay.
If not, delete the pairing, connect to the car’s Wi-Fi from the Apple device first, then try pairing via Bluetooth again.
