SSP 199 – The Radio Navigation System

This Self-Study Programme describes the function and design of the Volkswagen and Audi Radio Navigation Systems.

The Volkswagen Radio Navigation System and the Audi Plus Navigation System combine navigation and radio functions. While both systems share similar purposes, their controls and displays differ. In addition, the Audi Plus Navigation System includes an integrated television receiver.

The contents of this Self-Study Programme are divided into two parts:

Part 1 – Basic principles of satellite and vehicle navigation; function and design of the Radio Navigation System
Part 2 – Operation of the Radio Navigation System; self-diagnosis and service
