SSP 124 – Catalyst diesel engine
With the further developed diesel engine, Volkswagen makes another contribution to combating environmental pollution and climate change caused by the feared greenhouse effect in the Earth’s atmosphere.
Compared with conventional naturally aspirated and turbocharged diesel engines, this new diesel variant significantly reduces emissions of:
Carbon dioxide (greenhouse effect)
Carbon monoxide (greenhouse effect)
Nitrogen oxides (forest dieback and ozone depletion)
Particulate emissions (soot)
Unpleasant, odorous aromatic hydrocarbons
In addition, the engine is characterized by an optimal balance between fuel consumption and performance, as well as a significant reduction in noise emissions.
