For the transverse installation of the power units, a new manual transmission with cable-operated shift was developed. It is designated 02A and was originally designed as a 5-speed manual transmission.
By omitting the gears for 5th gear and the associated shift components, a 4-speed version was created.
The gearshift mechanism in the transmission is designed as a swing-type shift.
The swing arms are supported at the pivot points with ball bearings.
The clutch is operated mechanically via a lever linkage.
From an engine output of 79 kW, a hydraulic clutch actuation is installed as standard.
