The Passat Variant tetra sets new standards in the exclusive group of all-wheel-drive cars. It offers a combination of superior handling characteristics under nearly all road and weather conditions, combined with a high degree of driving safety and pleasure, as well as luxurious travel comfort.

The distribution of drive forces to all four wheels offers the advantage of better traction even under difficult conditions. This is especially true in winter on snow and ice, on gravel roads, or away from the paved road network. It is, therefore, the ideal towing vehicle for caravans and boat trailers.

The towing capacity for the Passat Variant tetra is 1500 kg. This can be increased to 1800 kg through a special permit.
