With the LT 50, a gap in the commercial vehicle range has been closed. With the current commercial vehicle lineup, the entire demand for commercial vehicles up to a permissible gross vehicle weight of 5 tons can now be covered.
The LT 50 is equipped as standard with the newly developed Turbo Diesel engine. Furthermore, the LT 50 is available with the well-known naturally aspirated diesel engine or a newly developed 6-cylinder carburetor engine.
In the other LT models (LT 28 to LT 45), the engine has also been moved back by approximately 20 cm and tilted further to the right. This made it possible to install a third seat in the cab. Due to the displacement of the engine, changes to the front axles and engine mounts became necessary.
